Yes, they can vote and serve in the Knesset but they are discriminated against in housing and employment and by many Israeli laws. Home demolitions occur regularly because Palestinians of Israel are often arbitrarily denied permits while Jewish citizens are not. Picture the West Bank as Jim Crow in the south before the 1960’s Civil Rights movement and Israel behind the Green line as the US north where there was still plenty of discrimination against Black people and little legal redress.
Whilst academics postulate to very little useful end, innocent Palestinians are being killed and maimed by a vicious cruel right wing government. Retribution for 7th October has passed. The sheer numbers are outageous. The inability to see that himiliating Palestinians is hateful and unjustified is of huge concern. And the Israeli press is being censored so the Israeli people do not know the genocide being carried out in their name.
